#Known Limitations
The Gatsby platform is still in beta, and as such there are some known limitations that you should be aware of when using the tool. We are working non-stop to improve the platform, and your feedback is crucial in helping us identify, prioritize and address these limitations.
#Complex queries
Some queries are simply too complex to be effectively run by the current version of the Query Engine. This may occur because of the query being to vague or simply relying on the aggregation of too many separate sets of data. Most of the time Gatsby will attempt to guide you towards a more effective query or approach, but sometimes you may need to take a step back and break down the type of analysis you are trying to run.
Complex queries are often very interesting, albeit requiring multiple separate research paths which is a feature that is currently missing. If you find yourself in this situation, we recommend reaching out to the team for assistance. We'll do our best to help you use the tool to find the information you're looking for and your feedback will help us improve the platform.
#Timeouts
When executing queries that require extensive data analysis, you may occasionally encounter timeouts. This typically happens when the query needs to process large amounts of information or perform complex calculations across multiple data sources. We're continuously working to optimize query performance and make the engine more efficient.
In the future, we plan to introduce a long query feature that will allow for more extensive analysis without timeout constraints. For now, if you encounter a timeout, we recommend breaking down your query into smaller, more focused parts. This approach often yields faster results and can help you build up to the broader insights you're seeking step by step.
#Data Quality
As Gatsby is currently in beta, we're constantly refining and improving our data synchronization processes. You may encounter inconsistencies as we resync and update various data sources. This is a natural part of our continuous improvement process, and we're actively working to minimize the impact on your experience.
We're committed to providing you with the most accurate and up-to-date information possible. Our team regularly monitors data quality and implements improvements based on user feedback. If you notice any data that seems inconsistent, please don't hesitate to reach out, your observations help us enhance the platform for everyone.
#Query Misunderstandings
Sometimes the query engine may interpret your request differently than intended. This can happen when queries are ambiguous or use terminology that has multiple meanings in different contexts. When this occurs, it often takes a bit of back-and-forth to help the engine understand exactly what you're looking for.
We're continuously improving our natural language processing capabilities to better understand user intent. In the meantime, if the engine misunderstands your query, try rephrasing it with more specific terms or breaking it down into clearer components. Providing additional context or examples can also help guide the engine toward the desired results. We appreciate your patience as we work to make these interactions more intuitive and accurate.
#Beta Disclaimer
Gatsby is currently in beta. This means the software is still experimental and actively evolving based on user feedback and our continuous development efforts. During this beta stage:
- The platform may experience occasional timeouts, data synchronization updates, and query interpretation challenges as described above
- Features, functionality, and interfaces are subject to change without prior notice as we refine the user experience
- While we strive for accuracy and reliability, the service is provided without guarantees of any kind
- Your feedback and patience are invaluable as we work toward a stable, production-ready release
By using Gatsby during the beta phase, you're helping shape the future of the platform, and we greatly appreciate your understanding and contributions to making it better for everyone.
